How to Get Free Food and Drinks From These 15 Restaurant Apps

Free food from restaurant apps

They say that the best things in life are free and who doesn’t like freebies, especially if it’s food. Nowadays you can get free food from your favorite restaurants if you download their apps. Although you may not get the most expensive food on their menu, food is still food and what’s more if they’re free.

Some of them like Chili’s may only offer Chips & Salsa or a free cookie from Panera Bread, but at least you get to try them at no cost to you.

To save you the hassle, I have narrowed down the list of restaurant Apps with free food offers for you. Mind you though that this is not a complete list. I will be adding more to this list on a regular basis so make sure to keep an eye on this post.

Disclaimer: Make sure to check these apps out regularly as they usually change their offers. This list of free food from the restaurant apps below is the latest as of the time of this writing and is subject to change.

Here is a List of Restaurants That Offer Free Food Using Their Apps:

Auntie Anne’s

Once you download their app, AuntieAnne’s Pretzel Perks, a $1 spent is equivalent to 10 points and once you accumulated a total of 250 points, you can redeem it for a free pretzel. The company calls this promotion “Rewards That Rise With Our Dough”.

Baskin-Robbins

If your sweet tooth is calling, then the Baskin-Robbins mobile app is what you need to install. Downloading the app will get you a free regular ice cream scoop. The app will also keep you updated on any deal and new flavors. Unfortunately, toppings and waffle cones are not part of the deal, but, hey, you still get a free ice cream scoop.

Buffalo Wild Wings

A great place to be, especially if you want to watch your favorite team playing. With the “Blazin Rewards” you earn 10 points every time you check-in plus if you eat there and spend $10 you can accumulate 100 points. You can also earn 300 points for every 5 lunch visits!

California Pizza Kitchen

A personal favorite of mine, California Pizza Kitchen is simmering with benefits that will have you rushing to get those points.

With CPK rewards, every dollar you spend will earn you a point and to reach the VIP level, you have to have at least 150 points. Their points are classified into various groups, where each group has different and better benefits.

For example, 75-points (PALM group) will get you a reward worth $5. 150-points and above will earn you a free dessert on your birthday, and a free entrée on your birthday if you have 350-points and above.

Chili’s

My family loves Chili’s especially their 3 for $10 menu. Once you have signed up to My Chili’s rewards program, you automatically get 60 points, chips, and salsa for free. Your subsequent purchases will also earn you points, one point for every $2 spent. Free chips and salsa or non-alcoholic offer is only good for customers who come in or order to go at least once every 60 days. This is their way of rewarding their Chili’s Regulars.

Chick-fil-A

My daughter’s favorite place for chicken tenders. With Chick-fil-A One rewards, members earn 10 points for every $1 that they spent. You can redeem the points depending on how much points you’ve accumulated. For example, you can get a free chocolate chunk cookie for 150 points or a small ice cream cone.

Second, once in a while, a free menu item may appear on your app. And, every purchase you make through the app will earn you loyalty points, which are redeemable for free food.

Chipotle

With Chipotle Rewards, you will get 10 points for every $1 you spent and every time you accumulated 1250 points, you will get a FREE Chipotle which is good for any regular priced entree. Note that the Free Chipotle rewards expire after 60 days so make sure you use it as soon as you can.

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf

You spend $1 and you get a point and points are automatically earned when you use their app to pay. They have three Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf rewards levels.

  • Purple – for every 50 points you either get a drink or baked good.
  • Platinum – you need 300 points to get to this level.
  • VIP –  you need 540 points to reach this level.

Once you get to the Platinum and VIP level every 40-points thereafter will earn you a pastry or a drink of your choice plus VIP members enjoy a special discount reward every 240 points. You will have to earn 240 points a year to stay at this level.

Culver’s

Spoil yourself by downloading the Culver’s app, join the MyCulvers program and get yourself a Buy One, Get One Free value basket coupon. The app will also keep you in the loop of the flavor of the day and where your favorite flavor is being served.

Dunkin’ Donuts

My wife and my daughter are regular Dunkin customers. They both love their coffee and their service (at least the Dunkin Donuts near us). Indulge your sweet tooth by downloading Dunkin’ Donuts and signing up for their DD Perks program. Every $1 spent is equivalent to 5 points. You can start earning points every time you add funds to your account. This will earn you a free beverage. You will also get a complimentary drink on your birthday, and for every 200 points, you accumulate.

Krispy Kreme

If you would ask my son, Krispy Kreme doughnuts are the best in the world. Krispy claims to have the sweetest rewards around. You can earn a free doughnut just by signing up to their rewards program plus after your twelfth purchase, you are also entitled to a free doughnut. You will also get a free doughnut on your birthday.

Additionally, you will get notifications of any available freebies or offers.

McDonald’s

You will not get any free meal for downloading the McDonald’s app, but you will open the door to the future of coupon offers and free treats.  With their Mccafe rewards, you buy 5 of any size drink and the next is on them.

For example, they are currently giving away free medium fries every Friday for purchases worth more than a dollar. Also, if you buy five McCafé beverages through the app, you will get one free.

Panera Bread

Another place that I go at least once a month aside from Starbucks and McDonalds is Panera Bread. I love their sandwiches and bagels. Once you download their My Panera app, you will get a free pastry or sweet welcome reward. You will also get a free treat on your birthday. Apart from these, your subsequent purchase will earn you points that you can redeem for various food items.

Panera Bread

Papa John’s Pizza

Free pizza anyone? If you love Pizza, this should be on your list. Downloading their app will not automatically earn you free food. However, you earn a point for every $1 that you spend online for their Papa Rewards program. You can also use your Papa dough rewards towards any items from their menu.

On your birthday, you will also earn 10 bonus points. Do not forget to sign up for their text and email deals.

TGI Fridays

TGI Friday’s app lives up to their name! For starters, once you download the app and sign up for their Friday’s Rewards, you will get a free dessert or appetizer. Going forward, every dollar you spend will earn you a point, which is added to your Rewards Certificate. You can redeem these rewards for free food.

If you have not tried some of the restaurants from the above list, it may be time to consider downloading their apps and start enjoying some free food. If you already frequent any of them, you know that the rewards for being a loyal customer are amazing. My family has downloaded a number of these apps such as Dunkin Donuts, Buffalo Wild Wings, CPK (California Pizza Kitchen, Chili’s and of course Mcdonalds and so should you.
